My work investigates the primal nuances of my own personal experience. I often encounter the tumultuous build-up of emotion the human condition allows. Art provides a most cathartic release, as a way for me to explore my deepest desires, fantasies, and innate instincts.
Currently, my practice is embedded in my exploration and discoveries in queerness, as my relationship with my sexuality and sense of community strengthens. I often photograph my relationships with queer friends and significant others as an active choice to saturate the canon of imagery with more authentic depictions of queer realities. In tandem, I also explore the broader scope of identity in choosing to photograph places I identify as “home,” and the home that exists within my own body.
