Carly Goldstein

Carly Goldstein is a lens-based artist living in New York photographing the beauty in simplicity and things that go unnoticed. She keeps a safe distance and isolates herself from things that stress her out. Because of this, she’s able to pay more attention to the little things, to details.

Pandemic Soup

“Pandemic Soup” is about Covid-19 and the effect it has on New York City through outdoor seating and discarded face masks. I’m photographing what is taken for granted during the pandemic. These outdoor spaces have become increasingly elevated overtime, especially now because it looks like they will be more permanent. We are now covered with masks as a way to protect ourselves and it’s created much more waste that wasn’t there before.
