My visual language is authentic yet riddled. As a multimedia artist, I capture moments fueled by everyday experiences. Interactions with strangers under the sun, longing for homely colors, fleeting glimpses into alternate lives; all come in the frame to convey stories of humanity.
Creating images in different countries has strengthened my relationship with people and places, enriching the emotion of empathy that travels beyond the limitation of language and culture. While I’m at it, I constantly reimagine ordinary modes of creative expression.
Currently, my work deals with revisiting memories of my homeland in a foreign space. By transferring images onto fabrics, I emulate the sights that remain fresh in my mind, as moments resting on a string, swaying in the air of nostalgia, a sight witnessed commonly in Indian backyards.
