“Entre Los Recuerdos Del Sol De Ayer” is a short film commemorating moments, places, and loved ones that have defined my early twenties, a witness of my good fortune. Enamored by everyday life, I reflect on the experiences that shaped my identity and look back to the past with gratitude. My idea of beauty transpires from the focus on the architecture of light and color around me which is symbolic and encapsulates a reality I want to remember forever. This picture becomes a monument to all days prior who have made me feel worthy of the ones to come.

Karina Alejandra Garza (b. 2000) is a Mexican American artist born in the city of McAllen, Texas. Her work centers around experimentation with lighting design and color theory through the practice of cinematography in her own filmmaking.
