Owner Wilbur Wall is an old charismatic soul with one of the strongest entrepreneurial spirits I’ve ever encountered. In my work ‘The National Discount Store,” I explore every aspect of the environment. Including, but not limited to, items sold in the store, the owner himself, and the ever-evolving neighborhood which the store is located within.

Vanessa Tamarit was born in 2001 in North Bergen, NJ. She uses digital and moving images to transform urban scenes around her. Tamarit currently lives and works in the NY/NJ area.
