Love and loving are not inherently known; they are learned. “Acts of Becoming” is an exploration of the growing pains of girlhood and womanhood, felt and experienced through navigating the complexities of self-understanding. This work considers the pauses in between moments of toughness and tension, fellowship and friction. Through an intricate examination of space, these images invite discussion about emergent selfhood and offer an honest meditation on personal transformation.
