Julianna Sousa

Doomsday Scroll is a multimedia photo and video installation that examines the delicate balance between personal experience and information overload. This narrative panel uses absurdity and symbolism, navigating  a chaotic world with props and miniature sets. This doomsday-like scene is reminiscent of the childhood game “I Spy” and invites the viewer to shift focus from object to object, effectively controlling what is engaged with and assigned meaning. Almost all of the objects in this work were collected and altered prior to being digitally photographed and edited in Photoshop.

Julianna Sousa is a multimedia and camera-based artist from Long Island, New York. Her background is in fine art photography with a focus on set and prop design.
