Bali C-M
Bali C-M is working to understand the self. The process of doing a thesis project was documented via multi-channel video, layering meta-narrative to explore the bifurcating nature of the experience. Temporality is important, evoking a feeling of ongoing contemplation, and contradicting the anxiousness of the video diaries and curated memes with single-shot footage that slows down and holds the moment. This video acts as a practice of being unashamed of the shortcomings and failures that may arise-the ultimate test of resistance toward making personal work and going with the flow. It’s a character study; a project about not really making a project.
