Eileen Ko

What is Church? is a typology of individual Christians in prayer, each representing themselves as churches and the church community. Church can be anywhere God’s presence is, including within Christians themselves. Ko has been a Christian her entire life, regardless of the city or country she is in. Ko introduces the Korean Christian community in New York and Georgia. Every Christian comes to church to practice their faith, which is something invisible. As a visual image-maker, Ko portrays how Christians practice their belief through prayer posture.
