? asks if the confines of growing up are, too, an act of performance. By challenging this in-between feeling of adolescence and adulthood, Berger’s response is an inconclusive answer (more like a question) of not knowing what. What will truly happen if and when the photograph falls to the ground?

Julia Berger (b. 2003) is a New York-based visual artist, graduating this spring from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Photography. Previous shows include The Art House, Acrylicize, London.
