God’s Girls is a series of images of women and queer people in spaces of addiction recovery. Guided by Ann Cvetkovich’s book An Archive of Feelings, this project represents an archive of relationships and moments in time. These images are small glimpses into the lives of people the artist has grown alongside-those who have surrounded and supported her in times of joy and grief. In a way, through God’s Girls, Goldfein has photographed to understand her own process of grief.
