કલાકાર /Creator conjures the untranslatable-materializing gaps between Gujarati language and American ways of seeing and saying. Observational, staged, and archival images become domestic artifacts and fragmented letters; each existing as an incomplete translation, inviting viewers into spaces that English cannot fully bridge-spaces where time itself becomes a medium.

The unsent, never read, letters function as testimony, bearing witness to unspoken histories and moments of connection to recipients who remain beyond reach. Rooted in the artist’s first-generation experience and her parents’ inherited stories, the work becomes a living archive-tracing home, memory, and existence through the creation of her own visual language.

Mili Manoj Patel is a New York‚—based multidisciplinary artist creating intuitive, poetic work across photography, video, and design-archiving humanity through storytelling and lived experience.
