Milo Burr

Afterimage grapples with the finite nature of life and the fear of losing the privilege to recall moments and memories. Situated in the artist’s grandmother’s vacant apartment, the project centers on a year-long performance and installation that activates the space with the artist’s extensive personal archive. Through multiple analog and digital methods, Burr attempts to freeze an uncertain reality, or to immortalize an archive that is both complete and incomplete-caught in limbo between accessibility and distance. Afterimage is dedicated to the artist’s two grandmothers, Jane Greengold and Mary Burr.

Milo Burr is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in 3D imaging, photography, video, and design.
