Pau Sainz Blasi
De Pequeño a lo Grande is a short series of reverse lens photography that expands the definition of landscape photography initially captured by the artist’s great-grandfather in the mid-1900s industrial Spain. Sainz redefines what it means to document and observe the industrial systems of today, particularly focusing on the aftermath of American deindustrialism, the role that nature and the human species play within these systems, and how they reflect the general decay of the industrial mentality-its memento mori showcased through ambient light and textures.
Pau Sainz Blasi is a photographer and digital media artist dealing with abstraction and time, contextualizing place into its systems of creation. Based in NYC, available all over the world.
