Whispers of Presence: A Photographic Exploration of Creative Perception and Lived Experience draws on John Dewey’s concept of “art as experience,” Rick Rubin’s mindful receptivity, and George Santayana’s emotional sense of beauty to transform everyday scenes into visual poems. Each photograph emerges from a dynamic interplay between the artist, her subjects, and you, the viewer, emphasizing process over product. By slowing down, engaging the senses, and trusting spontaneous connections, Mueller captures fleeting, unguarded moments that reveal hidden layers of meaning. The resulting images are presented alongside reflective texts, inviting you to inhabit the creative process as an unfolding event.
Renée Mueller (b. 1999, Düsseldorf, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist based between New York City and London.
