Zoe De Blasis

Il Lutto: Do You Remember When i Spoke? is a photographic exploration in which the artist confronts mortality directly. This is an act of both detachment and intimacy-a moment of witnessing her own departure while still remaining present. This manipulation of imagery serves as a confrontation between presence and absence, life and death, observer and participant. Featuring a series of performances that she calls “eco poetry,” the work serves as both a symbolic burial and a meditation on the inevitable cycles of death and renewal, drawing a parallel between human mortality and the natural world’s own processes of decay and regeneration.
