Eliza Grace

Today, I am a born woman. Woman made of pain, of joy, woman made of the ground memory and rusted blood of my mother. I am Everything, I am Nothing weaves skin and mud, mother and daughter. This performance documentation explores the motherline, the ties between mother and daughter, and the ties between the body and the Earth. The work follows the artist’s navigation of a barren wasteland terrain, which serves as a mirror to her own navigation of her complex relationship with womanhood, while the wounds from girlhood remain.
