Simply Exist began with a simple assertion: The time I have experienced belongs solely to me, even when I walk on streets shared by millions of people. We often imagine a shared world, and this fact is based on a faint consensus that existed before memory. This is about to disappear.  Globalization is already a done deal.

Simply Exist takes the form of documentary-style, digital color photographs that offer a snapshot into this experience as evidence of the present. These moments are not just a division of the world, but also an index of memory and a proof of life.

Zeng Haoyang (b. 2002, Shenzhen, China) is a photographer currently based in New York City. He works with both digital and film media and specializes in travel and documentary photography.
