Luke Sewell

Do You Have Siblings? is a photographic project capturing siblings in their homes across St. Louis, New York, Massachusetts, and Hong Kong. Many subjects start as strangers who allow the artist into their homes; others are family and friends. The work asks what closeness looks like when it is intimately lived rather than stated. Each image holds two subjects: the siblings and the domestic space that shapes them: lamps left on, crowded tables, picture frames of their younger selves. Sewell works quickly, building trust in real time, showing the fervency of everyday life.

Luke Sewell (b. St. Louis, MO) is a New York-based photographer and creative director working across narrative and fashion. He collaborates with brands and artists as one half of Lucas and Genivia.
