Marley Yanow

Super Silver Haze is a photographic diary, an archival excavation, and an experiential process of connection between the artist and her grandfather, David. Over several months of traveling to David’s hometown of Aylmer, Ontario, Yanow studied her grandfather’s meticulous archive and photographed alongside him, tracing the landscapes of his home, his neighborhood, and beyond. Through this ritualistic practice, Yanow and her grandfather used their cameras and the act of photographing to talk, ask questions, and understand each other in ways they hadn’t before.

Marley Yanow is a Los Angeles-born analog photographer and printmaker. Her work centers on themes of temporality, inevitable change, and the ongoing journey of self-discovery.
