Nili Golshan

Beauty in Rage is a photographic series that explores Golshan’s relationship to femininity, sexuality, and the idea of the “dangerous woman” through self-portraiture, performance, and surreal imagery. Rather than speaking about women in general, the work reflects the artist’s experience of becoming more comfortable with her body, emotional intensity, and self-expression. Drawing from the figure of the femme fatale, she reclaims qualities often labeled as excessive, seductive, or threatening, reframing them as powerful and expressive. Through staged images that balance beauty, tension, and instability, Golshan examines expectations placed on women to perform emotionally, sexually, and physically and explores it on her own terms.

Nili Golshan is a photographer based in New York. Her work explores the aesthetics of female rage and the idea of the “dangerous woman” through digital imagery.
