My work mainly consists of digital videos and installations that use the moving image to portray a dreamlike atmosphere and structure. This project specifically focuses on the female-identifying dreamer. What do her dreams look and sound like? The video follows a loose narrative in order to allow for various interpretations depending on the individual viewer and their own experience with womanhood. Mirrors and reflections serve as portals to and from each segment. This dream sequence serves as an escape from the female dreamer’s average, more constraining, everyday surroundings and immerses the viewer in an exploration of her true desires, fears, anxieties, and elements of happiness. While somewhat utopic, the sequence also takes influences from the real world and events going on around us, shaping them into a completely different reality from that of our own.
